At VBE , we build and implement a transparent traceability system , strict purchasing policy and commitment to achieve international certifications , to ensure that all activities are oriented towards sustainable and responsible development.
1. Traceability – Control from root to tip
We implement an internal traceability system for the entire wood supply chain. Each batch of input materials is clearly recorded, including:
- Supplier name and address
- Plant type, mining location
- Documents proving legal origin
- Date of import and specific quantity
This information is stored according to standards and can be quickly retrieved when requested by customers or management agencies. The system helps prevent the use of wood of unknown origin, wood from illegally exploited natural forests.
2. Purchasing Policy – Responsible Choice
Our purchasing policy is built on the principles of: Transparency – Legality – Sustainability , including:
- Prioritize supply from planned plantations managed by organizations and households with FSC certification or equivalent.
- Do not accept wood from natural forests without legal permits , ecologically damaged forests or from suppliers who violate the law.
- Regularly audit and assess supplier risks , ensuring they comply with commitments on environmental protection and workers’ rights.
We also work with forest growers to provide technical support, increasing exploitation efficiency while still protecting land and biodiversity.
3. Certification – Affirming transparency and reputation
The company’s entire purchasing and manufacturing operations are built to meet international standards and certifications , which include:
- FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) : Certification for raw materials from responsibly managed forests.
- SBP (Sustainable Biomass Program) : Ensures a sustainable biomass pellet supply chain that complies with European market standards.
